Kengoga, Stephen Sail Through Unopposed as Ngoma Town Council Swears in New Leadership

A vibrant and massive ceremony yesterday engulfed the headquarters of Ngoma Town Council as newly elected leaders officially took oath of office in an event marked by excitement, unity, and celebration among residents and political leaders.

The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Sande Eric, who applauded the newly elected councillors for earning the trust of the people and urged them to prioritize service delivery, accountability, and development.

The highlight of the day came during the election of council leadership where Kengoga was declared Speaker of Council unopposed, a move widely interpreted as a sign of confidence and unity among councillors. In the same spirit, Stephen also sailed through unopposed to become the Deputy Speaker.

The atmosphere at the council headquarters was filled with cheers and applause as leaders, supporters, and residents welcomed the new council leadership with optimism and hope for improved service delivery in the town council.

Speaking shortly after taking oath, Kengoga pledged to champion transparency, cooperation, and effective council proceedings aimed at transforming Ngoma Town Council. Stephen also promised to work closely with fellow leaders to ensure harmony and progress within the council.

In his remarks, Sande Eric called upon the councillors to remain united and focus on programs that directly improve the livelihoods of the people. He emphasized the importance of teamwork, discipline, and integrity in leadership.

The colorful function attracted political leaders, technical staff, supporters, and members of the community who turned up in large numbers to witness the beginning of a new political term for Ngoma Town Council.
